Intermittent brake warning light, engine juddering error - off / on and problem clears

Will not sync on protocol, same issue with my Foxwell scanner, will not accept any protocol, , sometimes will connect to kw 2000 protocol on the Foxwell scanner, reads extremely slowly, and will not clear DTCs.

VCDS works okay on my other VAG cars.

All sounds more electrical, low voltage, earths, etc.

The two items may be unrelated, issues with the ODB port, unrelated to the error messages, but I suspect the error message is earth or voltage related. I'll give the earth points a clean, and a blast with electrical contact spray, and see if that helps, as a first go.

Problem still persists, after cleaning up engine earth point, it was clean, and spraying with contact spray.

Managed to get my VCDS to scan.

1314 on brake electronics ( Read DTCs)
1314 and 01760 on instrument cluster "ECM no communication & power steering No comms with ECM.)

Few other people have had similar symptoms but nothing concrete on resolution.

Did you scan the Engine Controller, (ECU)?

I have hopefully, made some progress on fault-finding, an auto-electrician has pointed the finger at the EGR valve, which would fit with the problem happening, once warmed up, and you go into overrun, the valve should close, if it does not, you will have issues with fuel/air mixture, it is an intermittent issue, which makes diagnosis tricky. just odd every single dashboard light seems to glow, when you do, along with the big red warning exclamation mark.

I replaced the EGR 3 years ago as a precaution, and it wasn't dirty when we took it off now, but maybe the solenoid is dodgy. Will replace the valve, and see, I hope it is the issue, as the car runs perfectly otherwise.
