2 full front and rear brake rebuild with all new parts.
3 new inner and outer cvs, wheel bearings.
4 new front exhaust and cat.
5 new battery, alternator and starter motor.
6 new complete clutch and pivot arm.
7 Cly head refurb
8 turbo rebuilt.
9 new timing belt and water pump.
10 new oil pump and chain.
11 Alloys (TT) refurbished and new old stock Bridgestone tyres.
driven 40 miles home the furthest it has been driven in 18 month, drove very well. Now just needs central locking sorting, booked in local Audi VW specialist in Ayr 20th November. Yes it was the one for sale on Facebook in Glasgow.

Looks a lovely car and at the mileage, at least you know it’s nearly run in πŸ˜‰

I think I may have sorted the central locking problem. The previous owner whom I had bought it from changed the remote control battery, after which the remote did not work. Looking in the owners manual supplied it says after changing the remote battery if the remote fails to lock or unlock the car you it will be necessary to re-synchronise the system. So I followed the instructions and guess what now the remote control works. So we will see if it continues to work. Next to see how I can get a spare key.
