Battery Drain issue

I have read in the past that removal of the o/s tail lamp assembly allows access to unplug the alarm siren but never tried myself
Battery corrosion can spread along the cable itself, so
Thanks Joga. As already pointed out the -ve Post is the negative of the 2 connection points on the battery.
I have googled Battery Drain and find the following...

A normal amount of parasitic draw for newer cars is between 50-milliamp to 85-milliamp current draw. A normal amount of parasitic draw for older cars is a reading less than 50-milliamp. Anything past these amounts indicates an electrical issue.

So the reading of around 1.1mA today would seem to be not worth chasing down?

Maybe I should have googled this at the outset! Duh!

1.1 mA, (0.0011 of an amp) is tiny. If that's battery drain with car locked, then it's not going to drain the battery. Battery capacity is 70+ amp hours, 1 amp for 70 hours.
Check your meter scale,to be sure it is 1.1 mA.

Twice the limit I would say is reason to investigate especially if your battery is going flat!

How is 1.1ma twice the limit when the limit for older cars is 50ma ?
Am I missing something ?

Sorry I have misread the reading, yeah 1.1 ma is indeed as low as you could ever expect it, my bad
Hmmm, maybe its just a bad battery. Think I will get a new one when I put the car back on the road.

It's so low, as to, probably be outside of the meters accuracy/resolution. Could mean it is zero, as in not connected, or very poor contact. I'd redo the measurement, if it was me.
