We have been in Sweden since last Thursday, We went to Gamla Uppsala museum on Monday. We are visiting my son for about a week then on to Finland then thought the Baltic states

So to sum this up... Is everyone happy with the measurements? Are we all happy with the part numbers? Does Paul @depronman have a complete list of part number OEM dipsticks and the required dimension for ends that fit?

Thank you for trying to clarify. It did go slightly OT didnt it, sorry for that.
I am still in need of the dimensions, as written in my first post above, for the H or R stick.
So if anyone has a 2002 1.4 petrol, the chances are good that you have one of these sticks, and it would be most helpful if you have the possibility to photo these dimensions.

Aah, sorry my mistake. This is how to see which version it is; on the top of the handle the part number is written, with the letter visible.Sorry to say I do not know what an R stick is !
The pictures are of what is fitted to my 1 owner (till a month ago when I bought it) low mileage (46,000 mile), 2002 1.4 petrol A2
I await further education on the intricacies of dipstick specifications

First, many thanksMine is an M - just popped outside and checked it again
. Unfortunately for me that is not the stick I am trying to find the dimensions of.The M stick is to my knowledge for the later BBY (and BAD) cars.
