CANCELLED! Simply Audi - Beaulieu 14 April 2024

We have attended Simply Audi for the past couple of years. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a day out at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, together with your A2OC friends and with all sorts of other Audis for company. Your ticket price includes all the attractions of the Motor Museum which are available as normal, plus we get to park up together in the grounds, where our uniquely forward-thinking and quirky aluminium friends will also be on display to the general public :)

If you would like to join a convoy in, we will be meeting up from 9am at the Forestry England car park for Bolton's Bench and the Lyndhurst War Memorial, at Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst SO43 7NL.
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Lyndhurst+War+Memorial/@50.8720129,-1.5695609,18z.

This is right next to the junction of the B3056 and the A35. The convoy will need to set off to travel the 7 miles to the Beaulieu National Motor Museum around 9.30/9.45am.

HOW IT WORKS

The club is requesting a stand at this event, this allocates spaces to us in the Museum grounds for a number of cars that we must confirm 2 weeks prior to the event. In order to be included in the A2OC club entry, you need to register your interest via the RSVP at the very top of the thread.

This year they have set a requirement of a minimum of 10 cars to qualify for a club stand. Therefore if you would like to come along, please register above and indicate if you are planning to bring more than 1 car. We will then make a go/no go decision based on registrations by 24th March to give people time to buy advance tickets by the deadline .

To get into the grounds you will need to have purchased your own event tickets in advance for everyone in your car, and have them printed out or available to show on your phone, ready for scanning on arrival. Advance pricing of £16.50 per adult is available until 2pm on March 29th. Children 5-16 are £8, under-fives go free. Tickets are only available from the Beaulieu website.

We will receive Club labels by email to print out and display in our windscreens, to help the organisers to direct us to our allocated spaces on arrival - I will distribute these to all attendees in plenty of time for the event. All Club spaces are held until 10.30am on the day, after which they are given over to general Simply Audi attendance. So in order to guarantee being parked with other members of A2OC, you must be inside the grounds by 10.30am. There is no restriction on an earliest leaving time (except not during peak arrival times, when an exit lane might not be available). So you are free to leave at any time, however please note that after having left, re-entry to the grounds is not possible.

If you need to stay over the night before, the Travelodge Stoney Cross has some reasonably priced rooms and has been used by club members attending this event in the past

7 of us so far, in four cars. But if we don't get 10 cars we won't get a Club stand. If you'd like to put your name down, please click on the Register link at the top of the thread, it would be great to meet you :)
They wouldn't allow my B9 A4 on your stand, 😂I am an A2 wannabe im looking to buy one this year.

If we do end up going, by all means come over and introduce yourself, I'm sure any of us there will be more than happy to show you round our A2s and talk endlessly about them ;)

Unfortunately Simply Audi has been postponed to Sunday 14th July. That means that it clashes with Kimbolton which we have already booked a club stand for and committed to hotels, so I don't think we are going to be able to do Simply Audi this year :( Sorry for the inconvenience, due to the amount of rain they have had, they do not feel that they can safely park the amount of cars. They have postponed the first three events planned.

Good Afternoon,

The reason is in the second paragraph in the cancellation notice. Ground too boggy with rain and (implied) with little chance of drying out in time.

Andy
Ah thank you - i'd just looked at it quickly as at work. ill amend my post. thanks for the info, I can understand that. There has been so much rain down there.

If you read through the thread you'll see that the re-arrarranged date clashes with the Kimbolton County Fair where the Club is already committed to a stand, so this year Simply Audi is off the calendar.
