Celebrity Pine Green tdi rescue

Thanks to @depronman for the dipstick end and fuse cover clips, and thanks to @2work For the fuse cover itself, I now have some added function and restored plastics for the green machine.

No apologies for my snap crackle pop breakfast stickers on my lunchbox from 1983-1987

Morning Edd,

I really do like the flip in the Pine Green paint. One of my favourite colours for sure. Keep up the amazing documented work on this one, if it doesn’t win your heart over and you decide to move it one then it’ll go quick.

Kind regards,

Tom

A little tinkering today, thanks @2work For the morale support!

I've swapped in the mirror switch to the door controls as old knob was snapped. When you do this be very gentle with the plastics! The mirrors now rotate.

You can see where the old armrests and door pockets were replaced. The glue rivets are drilled out then replaced with screws and washers. Enough glue rivet left in for the screws to bind into. This is how the twin colour change occurred.

The passenger door window switch wasn't working, I tried 12v testing the wires to no avail, fuse 41 was okay.
So I took door card off and found the plug to be loose, easy win! Photo shows pink arm correctly levered shut.

Hello Edd,

Glad it was a quick fix Sir. Always happy to help out though, you know that. This A2 is coming on very nicely!

Kind regards,

Tom

Those door cards look brilliant mate...must have taken some time for the person that did them! It was my first attempt at doing them to be fair, the old twist door cards were absolutely filthy and rotten on the bottom edges. I tried cleaning them, but to no avail. Having a set of black door cards lying around, I thought I would try something a little different...without changing the look of the twist too much. I found that they grow on you the more you see them...although I totally appreciate that they aren't everybody's cup of tea.
Loving seeing it coming together, its like an old friend coming back to see you after a long time!!!!
