I quite like them breaks up the blackThose door cards look brilliant mate...must have taken some time for the person that did them! It was my first attempt at doing them to be fair, the old twist door cards were absolutely filthy and rotten on the bottom edges. I tried cleaning them, but to no avail. Having a set of black door cards lying around, I thought I would try something a little different...without changing the look of the twist too much. I found that they grow on you the more you see them...although I totally appreciate that they aren't everybody's cup of tea.
Loving seeing it coming together, its like an old friend coming back to see you after a long time!!!!
Good luck with the MOT. Would you take some pictures of the spires and screws. I need to put the undertray on mine but need to check which fixtures I have and what I need to replaceWith MOT booked in I enlisted the full vcds kind help of @Chris Warren to clear codes and scan the car yesterday.
Turns out the car is in great shape, we switched airbag light off (my bad when seats were out) and also discovered a working webasto!
So today I'll affix the undertray and replace all the fixings with correct spires and screws.
Here's the rear three subrame clips insert things I used....Good luck with the MOT. Would you take some pictures of the spires and screws. I need to put the undertray on mine but need to check which fixtures I have and what I need to replace
ByeSadly it's come to an end now, car has gone to South Wales to new owner, their first A2. Hopefully they'll join here and it will continue on to get a few further new parts. What a lovely colour, shame I couldn't keep it.
Thanks to all who helped send parts and advice to get this one saved and back on the roads!
I'm staying though just the car, can't get rid of me that easy
