converting A2 non climate to climate

Has anyone done this before: converting A2 non climate to climate:

I have every conceivable part to do the job, wonder if its possible/feasible & plenty of room now having sold 4 A2's
Has anyone attempted this ?
Cheers

I guess nothing's completely impossible, for example I know someone in Germany who fitted an OSS to a tin-roof 1.2TDI. But you'd be the first person to fit climate to a non-climate car! It must be about as close to not-possible as you're going to get. So much easier to just buy a climate-equipped one in the right colour and swap over any other goodies onto it.

Thanks Ian:
You have a valid point here, which makes sense, but Having just sold 4 A2,s & made room in my unit, I was hoping for
a: using some of my millions of parts,
b: not buy another A2
C: Not then break my daily A2/van etc
Cheers for your always valuable input mate.

I guess the physical fit of the items could be (relatively!) do-able since all the mountings etc. must already be present, but the greatest hurdle must surely be the wiring. Would the flap motors/potentiometers be powered from their own spurs from the back of the climate unit, or would there also need to be adaptations to the main loom? The climate unit would also need to be wired into K-net to talk to VCDS wouldn't it? I think some research in the area of wiring would give you a better idea of the scale of the challenge you'd be facing.

A friend of mine did exactly this when his high spec car was destroyed by a bin lorry.. He bought a replacement poverty spec car and spent a lot of time striping each and swapping over the better items. He literally changed just about everything from one shell to the other even down to wiring looms. In the end it looked like he had changed the colour of his original car and the number plate which he later replaced with a private plate.

About a year after it was complete his wife divorced him and took everything!

So yes it is possible with a lot of time space and patience. If it is something that you really need to do then go ahead just be prepared for hidden consequences.

I am diffidently not doing that then, if its going to cost me my wife ;) and all my other possessions 🚙 🚲🚡 🏡

Not worth it Graham.

I can imagine it would be a huge amount of work. But, is there anything else you could fit that wasn't included at the same time with parts you have?
Electric rear windows.
Upgrade the dash display
Bose
Double DIN head unit.

If so, then its a more attractive proposition.

Having reduced my fleet from 9 down to 3 ( Kept my favorite 3 ) plenty of room in my warehouse & millions of parts,
This car has had so many new parts & goodies installed, I was hoping to do this climate as well, but seems like every one says a lot of work.

Thanks Phil:
Maybe We discuss it over a coffee one day & see if its worth doing.
Cheers
