Drivers Window issue

Hello again! My 2001 A2 (1.4 petrol) is having window problems on just the driver side. The window gets to within 2 cm of the top then stops leaving a small gap. Sometimes the window will go down automatically too. I’ve checked the rubbers, all seems normal annd cleaned them but no change. I’ve dismantled the door but can’t really see any issues… Anyone faced this before please?

Open the window and keep you finger on the open button for 10 seconds. Do the same with the close side. The motor needs to learn the parameters again.

Is this the window experiencing resistance to motion and the motor then reversing as a safety measure? To protect childrens' arms etc. Could try a little very light lubrication of the channels of the window frame, a tiny amount of silicon grease would do it.

I second this, had the same issue and dome white lithium grease sorted it out!
