I've noticed that several queries, recently posted on here, are also, copied and pasted on other sites, such as FB.
I find it annoying to take the time to post an answer, only to find it's already been answered elsewhere.

It is not uncommon for me to receive a private message through Facebook and a similar message here, from a member whose forum username bears little resemblance to their actual name. Sometimes it's obvious, but on other occasions I invest time in both conversations only to later find that I'm talking to the same person through two sites.

I just shrug it off as one of those things that I can't control.

Cheers,

Tom

I am guilty of this, mainly because when asking for specific advice, I have been given chapter and verse about related issues. I think both this site and the FB forums are guilty of this.
Therefore are we only to ask on one forum because you prefer this?

Of course you can post where ever you want.
But, if you get a good answer on one site, it would be courteous, (in my opinion), to post that information against the query where ever it appears. I see posts that respond to a query, as information to help others, so a query that goes unanswered helps no one, where ever it is posted.
There are A2OC members who are not on "social media" so unless the information they need is on here, they will not get the help they need. That's a pity.

I on rare occasions duplicate a question on Facebook group 3PD vs the World. That way 3PD questions reach a wider audience of Seat, VW and Skoda owners. If their advice is good I report it here.
