Engine management light on again!!!

Hi

My patience is running out with my A2 FSI, couple of months ago one of the coil packs gave up so i had them all replaced for about £160. Then the light came on again no misfire or any change in the cars performance and the fault code indicated the knock sensor so that was also replaced for £180. Now the lovely amber light has just come on again this time the code indicated a sensor in the exhaust manifold which needs replacing and again no change in the cars performance. Just wondered does anyone know what sensor it is likely to be and how much it will roughly cost??

The sensor in the manifold is likely to be one of the oxygen sensors and the good news is that it is the cheaper of the 2.

Persevere with the car though - you've probably had all the failures you're likely to have now for a while.

Was your A2 less than 5 years old? If so, then Roadside Assist (formerly Audi Assist) reaffirmed to me today that the coil packs are covered for 5 years from new. Don't let the dealers tell you otherwise. If you paid the £160 - then you should be able to claim it back from Audi UK.

I'd be happy to give you details of the chap that gave me this information if you need support for such a claim. It's also been mentioned by some other dealers.

Thanks for the reply, the car is a 52 reg so the coil packs were done within the 5 years. The work was carried out by an Audi specialist not Audi themselves does this affect the claim? if not then i'd really appreciate the info on claiming back the costs..
