Fuel filter

Hello, thought I would start a new thread with this one. If i'm correct the fuel filter in the F.S.I. is on the left hand side of the engine bay. The crystals inside are BLACK! Is this right??????? I've been told you should be able to see through it. I dont know but thought I'd ask the question. If anyone does recommend a change, where and how much?? Thanks

No, the FSi filter is by the fuel tank, as per all other models. What you are seeing is probably a part of the fuel distribution system.

What you are referring to is the charcoal filter cannister, and yes, it is meant to be black!

This is probably a silly question, is this the active charcoal filter. I'm sure I've had a error code referring to this. Is it easy to change yourself?
