High level brake light not working

As title, picked up during recent MoT. Is this a reasonably straightforward fix, assuming I can get the light unit?

Is it completely dark, ie not working at all, or are some of the leds working, and some not?

MoT test says "Stop lamp(s) non-obligatory stop lamp not working high level (4.3.1 (a) (ii))"

The wife is out in it currently so I'll have to check whether it's a full or partial failure when she gets in.

Checked the light yesterday and it was working. I love intermittent electrical faults!

Most likely to be the connector to the light unit, in the tailgate. Odds on it'll be back, best think about fixing it, while you're not under pressure. It's an important safety measure, being led, it'll illuminate quicker than the filament lamps in the clusters, plus you won't know when it's failed... until next MoT!
