Interior Lights

Help needed!!!

Interior lights are not working at all - not when doors locked, lights on, lights off etc. Had three diagnostics carried out by Autolube in Letchworth, light panel replaced, still not working.

They suggest taking to Audi - has anyone had this problem, if so, how was it fixed? I am reluctant to go to Audi because of cost. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

As ALL the electrical supply to the lights is controlled by the central convenience control unit (the black box in the passenger footwell), this would be my first place to start.

To be honest though, I would have expected a diagnostic scan to show this up. Check all connections to the cccu and all (yes all) the fuses, to see that current is getting to the unit.

If they are all good, then there is either a wiring break or the cccu is duff.

Cheers,

Mike

Check the door contacts and the fuse. although the garage should have already done this. You could also check the continuity of the ground cable

What do you mean by interior lights? You mention trying with the doors locked - if the dashboard lights have failed then I had that problem with my first A2 and it was fixed with a new headlight switch under warranty. HTH

My rear interior light has failed since audi have been poking around in the car. ive checked bulbs and fuse 36 and 42 the light comes on when you turn the front courtesy light on with the switch but otherwise oesnt work. Before it went to the garage it worked with the front light or by the swicth.

What else can i try before taking it back to them? As ive been there enough in the last 2 weeks see other thread
