I have the iPod in my A2 all the time, at the moment still connected through a cassette adapter, but I already have an FM modulator lying around that waits to be fitted (i´m not that good with car stereo´s).
Normally I put the ipod into the Cup holder (as can be seen on the A2OC site), but I have a cellphone mount now that puts the iPod reight next to the steering wheel, above the ventilation outlets, where it is far easier to use while driving (I´ll email new photos to Stuart as soon as I get my digital camera back!)

P.S: I also tried one of those FM transmitters, but it didnßt work too well, bad sound quality and stronger FM stations kept breaking through.... it would have been elegant, but....:-(
