Congratulations and welcome aboard :) Of the three main Colour Storm colours, the yellow ones have the most character I think. There were only ever about 90 yellow ones registered over here so you've bagged a rare one for sure. I used to have a yellow 'Storm TDI. This one being an FSI, if it's in good fettle it'll be a lovely drive, but be sure to read up on all the information on here about how they differ from normal engines and the common issues that occur as a result.

Welcome, you are local to me.
Another customer for E5 premium petrol.
I'm impressed with how sprightly my FSI is.
Hi Andy, we'll have to have a meet up and you can fill me in with the local garages and services that are worth using. Thanks for the reply👍🏼

My third one was a yellow CS FSI, second was a blue CS FSI. I still have them both plus a couple of others but my Favourite are the yellow CS! They’re special

If you’re in Rotherham you’re a short trip to WOM, if there’s something you can’t fix yourself Marcus and Rob are real FSI experts, not cheap but cheaper in the long run than a garage who doesn’t know what they’re doing imo.
Also you really need a VCDS Peter. Not expensive and it will lead you straight to any faults. I bought an FSI that was an MOT failure on emissions and in the tester’s opinion need a lot including sensors and a cat -VCDS showed that the ECU thought the engine temp was -30C. No wonder it was running rich and failed on emissions. VCDS showed it needed a new temp sensor…….. a bit cheaper!
Also, in case no one has mentioned it, make sure the engine check light goes on when you turn the key and goes out when it starts.

Happy yellow CS FSI -ing

Welcome aboard, There are a good few FSi experts up here, but a small cautionary word of advise. Do not be tempted by "yer average" Audi specialist for maintenance. In the main they do not understand A2 and there is really nothing worse than an unintentional "bodge".

You are are fortunate indeed to have WOM (Already mentioned}. Another deeply knowledgable FSi expert on here is mac. @PlasticMac

Looking forward to perhaps meeting up at one of our socials.
