Kumhos are brilliant

Recently, I had a discussion about which tyres to get as mine were date stamped 2015 Pirellis that had been standing for 3 years on the same spot. Although there was tons of tread on them, they were very noisy and way too old. People here very kindly recommended Kumhos after some lengthy debate by me about OEM specs. I went for a full set from Black Circles which were delivered to my wheel powdercoaters as I thought this would be the only time all four tyres will need replacing at once, I got the wheels done too in OEM spec silver. The tyres were around £60 each, and the wheels were £260 all in, including fitting and balancing of the tyres. So a big 'Thankyou' to those that advised, and to those wondering, the Kumhos are really good- grip in the wet, noise and ride. All great. Heres a picture I took yesterday of my 67000 mile car. I am waiting on wheel centres now.

Our local tyre depot does a good line in Toyos, free puncture repair for the life of the tyre.
Good tyres and reasonably priced.

My full set of centrecaps from @CreweAudi has arrived! Thankyou! Now, the question is, will they corrode, and should I either spray with lacquer, or coat with a film, or trust that they will take another 20 years to crumble?

I would just occasionally polish them with Autoglym products. Super resin and extra gloss.

I bought a couple of new centre caps from the local Audi main dealer and, within a year, I couldn't tell the difference between the new ones and the remaining two 15 years old ones. The outer shiny rim was mottled with white, completely ruining the appearance. Lacquer would probably be the best way to preserve them unless almost daily polishing is something you plan to do!

I left my A2 1.4 Petrol at the airport carpark. Didn't notice until I returned home and woke from jet lag that the wheel caps had been so alluring to someone. They were at the time below my insurance excess, but at current prices I'd expect that won't be the case for long! Anyhow, totally agree, the horrid white marks on the chrome are most likely to appear well within the warranty period, but not sure if they would be covered
