My A2 on JayEmm on Cars

I watched his earlier video with the 1.2Tdi and 1.4 Tdi from a few years back? Anyone on here with the 1.2?

I was about to post up who this recent car belonged to expecting it to be a foum member enthusiast 👍

@Foghorn There are a few of us with 1.2’s here in the uk. We think 12 in total and I’m aware of 5 or 6 other owners on A2OC.

It has to be said, they are not without there challenges. Mainly around parts availability and the transmission. That said, for me they absolutely live up to the hype efficiency wise and are lovely (if highly individual!) to drive imo.

Just discovered it on YouTube and was about to mention it until I saw this thread. Yes a very good review, and it whetted my appetite some more for rejoining the fold one day in a 1.4 petrol, but I thought he was a bit harsh on the perceived quality of the interior, and on its sheer practicality - I mean it sits on a smaller footprint than my 6C Polo GTI which, lovely car though it is, is no way as accommodating for luggage and passengers.

I thought it was generally a very favourable review, but he missed a trick by omitting to mention that the rear seats are easily removed to provide Tardis-like interior cargo space. It would also have been nice to see some mention of the enthusiastic online following such as A2OC and AA2OG. (There may have been in the comments but I was watching in fullscreen from the link above).

Excellent video! Showed my kids (who hate my A2), they especially enjoyed the ‘styled by Lamborghini’ and the ‘rarer than a 911 GT3‘ comments. However, they still refuse to be seen in it….
My daughter complains about the lack of screens and ambient light strips!

Awesome condition of the car! The Seats look awesome!! But fix your cupholders ... :)

Maybe this helps with Google translate!
Thanks for the kind words. The cupholders were going to be fixed, but I’ve kind of grown to love the rubber spacers that now hold them in place. Maybe this summer I’ll tackle them.
