New member and A2 owner sayning 'Hi'

After lurking for a while looking for info I've just bought an A2, so I thought I'd say "Hi".

I've got a 2001/Y 1.4 petrol. It's the non-metallic mid-blue (I'd guess that's Cobalt?) with light grey cloth interior. Seems like a good little car, it has one previous owner and a full Audi history. Even still has all the unopened first aid kit, tool kit, compressor etc. in the boot....although it is missing a fuse box cover.

I bought the A2 after a few years of driving only <£500 bangers which last 6-12 months. The cheap cars made financial sense, but the need to replace them all the time got annoying after a while. I've always admired the A2 from afar 'cause it's so clever, if I was going to buy a senisible car with my head it might as well be something I really liked too.

I've a few queries about my new wagon, but for now I'm just saying Hello!

hi and welcome to a2 ownership. I'm sure you will find the answers to your questions on here. please keep an eye on the socials section and join us at a social, we have a great bunch-i promise its not all A2 talk.
cheers mike

Welcome. If your car is a flat paint it is brilliant blue. Cobalt is a deep metallic blue that almost looks black in some light.

Your car has good history and one owner heritage which is excellent especially on an 11 year old motor. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum and ownership, you may find that the first aid kit will be out of date now though ( not sure what the reason for that date) its not like you eating it or anything lol, you will find there are a lot of owners around that area

Phil they have best before dates because they can not garentee that they are still sterile after that date. Also they can deteriorate over time. But in a push still useful to use if you have a bad bleed until you can get to professional help.

Cheers

Welcome! The flat blue that Phil described looks pretty good actually! I have cobalt blue and it is very very dark. You should be able to get a replacement fuse box cover from Audi for not much money, there is also a small piece of plastic that clips to the cover, it is a fuse puller. But be warned, the cover is stupidly located and you'll be kicking at it a lot when you get out of the car, I certainly do!
