New video

Looks like the owner is hooked already! He was happy to pay 2000 euros for a low mileage, FSH (main dealer), 1 now elderly owner and slightly battered body. The dent to the rear of the rear quarter light will need a skilled repairer.

I did leave a comment that the automatic A2 was not a retrofit.

According to the number plate, the car actually lives fairly close to my workplace. Bit of a surprise to find that on here of all places. :D

2000€, as he says, seems like a decent price for a full (Audi) Service history car, though you can never be sure how thorough any workshop would be on a car as relatively "worthless" as an A2. (E.g. all four shocks on my 135k km (vs. their 160k) example turned out to be completely finished when attempting to change out the worn strut bearings though had not been regarded as such on the most recent inspection) It may have had all the usual things like oil changes done recently, but unfortunately doesn't mean there is nothing needing doing (like all four brakes on the car in the video).

On top, it has barely any extras and that awful dent/scratch in the d-pillar which will not have helped sales (and probably won't help appreciation in value if not fixed professionally).

The video does appear to have a bunch of "not quite right" info like the aforementioned automatic gearbox (though if he has bought it recently, there was in fact an auto-swapped 1.4 on offer) or the sizes of the steering wheels (I think) though overall he does show the car in an appealing way other than the mess he made of the bonnet.

I like the "saving account on wheels" notion, and he is kinda right, with high-spec, low mileage and/or special order examples being offered in the range of 6-12k € these days while anything near 1000€ is usually either on its last legs or already down.

While most of my post seems fairly harsh, I did appreciate the video. It's always interesting to hear what other people have to say about something you like (and it usually seems to be fairly positive for our "little cars" :)).
