Oil ..another boring Oil thread?

OK time for getting some oil, I needed engine oil for both Shoby car (1.4i Petrol) and my New A4 DTM (2.0TFSi Petrol).

Being tempted to buy at the heavily advertised Opie oils (I find that whenever I have sent them a direct email, they failed to reply?)
Anyway they have a offer of free shipping till Tuesday, so I thought I'd place an order as I 'believe' both cars will use the same Mobil 5w 30 ESP Fully Synthetic oil.

Then I decided to have a quick look at the old net and found with a simple search that the first seller I found is selling 10 litres of the drink for £55 + £8.50p+p Which equals to £63.50 for '10 litres' delivered!

Meanwhile Opie Oils are charging £68.38 'with' my club discount and 'with' free delivery for '8 litres'

So who can tell me which is the better deal then?

Thanks Spike, as always, an accurate and logical response from you ;)

SO, comparing 2x 4 Litres:

Castrol Edge 5w-30 oil from Matt Lewis £49 +£8.50 P&P = £57.50

Castrol Edge 5w-30 oil from Opie Oils £73.79 (after club discount!) + P&P £?

Well unless I have made any mistake, it looks like plenty of better deals about then?!

FYI:

Halfords are selling 5L of Mobile 1 5W/30 ESP £40

Not as cheap as Matt Lewis but you do get to collect at your convenience.

Have you also tried your local GSF store?

Hi Sarge
I know who would get my business - and I think if we register, Matt Lewis do deals with car clubs which could make it even cheaper

Cheers Spike
