Oil flush options and drain plug size

Evening all,

My newly acquired A2 hasn't been as loved as it should of been. It has been on a long life service plan, but it has never been serviced at Audi or an independent. It has been serviced at a Peugeot dealer several times, but I doubt it has been given the tender love it required.
So I'm going to get it a major service at Audi next month, but in the mean time I want to give it a good flushing this weekend. Any recommended products?
Also what is the sump plug size and/or is there a special tool?

Cheers

Mike

I dont believe in flushing products. If you think about it they are designed to thin down and remove any crap thats built up. Do you really want even a tablespoon of this stuff left in your engine for 10000 miles when you put proper oil in?
Instead just use the proper spec synthetic oil. If the oil that comes out is horrid then feel free to do anoth change in 3 to 6 months.

Thanks fellas,

My feelings are the same as yours, as I don't want aggressive chemicals in the system eating into seals. But if I can clean it out, and as I'll only drive a couple of hundred miles before it is serviced properly and everything is changed again. The risk is becoming more acceptable. To be honest though, the current oil isn't looking too bad at the moment, I guess all will be revealed when I take the sump plug out!

Any way more importantly whats the sump plug size?
