A friend was in a little country cafe in the west of Ireland last summer. After his meal he asked the young waitress for black coffee without cream.
'We haven't got cream' she said.
‘But I don’t want cream!’ he replied.
'We have milk, I could let you have the coffee without milk - would that be alright?'
