Information Rear seat locking catch - help please

Not exactly sure what your trying to do, but,
when you fold the seat back down flat, if you get on top of the seat putting all your weight onto it, you should hear a click where the mechanism gets properly located, put your weight on all the corners and you should hear the catch locate.
From there you can either pull the carry handle or push upright to form the rear seat.

Hope you can make sense of that..

Hi Can anybody tell me how to fix the rear seat locking catch?, i put the seat down ok but can not pull the catch back up.
I think it would be good if you added more detail to describe the precise state of play of your problem.

From what you have said so far I am going to assume, please correct if wrong, that

1. The seat base is flat on the floor, you say 'sat down ok', but is it? Is the seat base level with the floor? Using the release handle can you swing the seat base back up to the vertical position?
2. The backrest is folded down on the the seat base. By catch do you mean the pull handle on the backrest and this is currently 'frozen'.

My guess is the seat base is not locked down at both anchor points and not level. In which case follow Axit's advice.

Post pictures if no success as well as read up on this thorny common problem.

Hi there, I've the same problem.
My sister had the seats out to give them a good clean, then put them back in.
So convinced the problem is the way that they are seated.
My question is.
When doing the bouncing around on you knees bit, are you supposed to pull the lever on the top of the back seat?
Or the one in the boot, under the false floor?
Sorry if this is a silly question, it's just difficult to do without fear of snapping things and making an easy job, into a disaster 😅

I think it is the same issue I had. I lift up the lever to fold seat down and I tried to lift the seat to put it back and the seat lever will not lift out. I put some WD40 inside the catch. Whats supposed to happen when you pull the lever up to fold seat down in the catch area a small plastic tag comes out mine was stuck. i have managed to resolve one side but not 100% on the other but i know what to look for and try and get the tag out

Good Evening Tom,

Some time since I messed with stuck rear seats so not the best person to give advice but start by just bouncing around and listen for a click and everything will be back to normal, do not pull handle until after click.
