Reconditioned Wiper Arm

Well I finally got round to sorting my floppy wiper arm (it's nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to a lot of A2's). From a comment on one of my other posts I was advised reach out to @depronman who reconditions and sells wiper arms.
After a swift chat and a paypal the replacement arm was winged to me a couple days later and I got it fitted post haste.

@depronman really made a lovely job of the reconditioned arm and it feels great to get this annoying little job done and dusted. Now I'm looking forward to some more rain so I can wipe with confidence with my wiper arm properly standing to attention!

Nice although the parked position of the blade looks a little high. Make sure it does not wipe past the edge of the windscreen when vertical.

Yeah I had a devil of a time getting that right. A single spline position on the spindle makes a big difference on the blade end. I have it just about right now I'd say :D

When it is belting down with rain and the wipers are on fast that is the time you will find out if it is too high.

Here is the manual page.

Those dimensions are for the standard blade, if you run a longer one then the dimension is reduced further.

Note do not over torque the two nuts or you will damage the arm and when checking the position of the parked arm run the wiper on fast then let it park before checking its position
