Roof antenna

UK spec cars use the rear screen heater elements as the antenna for the radio. Never seen the Audi set up for the phone in an A2 so do not know exactly what that used. Suggest you try someone like LLL Parts

I’ve seen a UK A2 with a Nokia mobile phone preparation which had the antenna popping up from the NS rear quarter window. Not sure if this was a factory install or aftermarket though, certainly not seen a factory roof antenna before on an A2 on our shores.

Might be useful to see a picture of the item you require for the interest of others. The part you’re seeking was also used on the TT 8N along with a few VWs of similar era. It’s of course item 34 below, so could well be available from VW.

My greek registered car has the roof mounted mobile phone antenna fitted. It is purely for phone reception. The radio signal is still picked up through the rear screen. It's actually a nuisance because the tailgate hits it when fully open.

I bought one to replace my old one from Audi Tradition, but I have also seen them offered on E-bay. Cost from memory was about €20.
 
There is currently no. 34 which I am looking for and cannot find. I have of course already been on www to search but without success
Any suggestions ?
 
Fit a different antenna altogether. Perhaps the current "shark fin" could be adapted for the A2. At least that does work incurrent Audis.

That's why the proper A2 one is so small !!!
