Any tips on removing and either refreshing or replacing the roof strips? Mine are looking a little worn and appear to have been painted at some point.

Very easy to remove. Cover a flat head screwdriver in a cloth and use it to prize the roof strip upwards from the back of the car. It will simply just peel out and then you can prep/respray. 👍

Brilliant. Are replacements still available from Audi, do you know?
 
Probably not sadly. From a geek perspective the early cars had metal strips....the later ones plastic. They are very easy to sand down and respray so i wouldn,t consider new.

Today I've done my first fuel filter change :) Thanks for the great tutorial video to @mtl. The new filter came with those white clips, but it didn't seem I needed them. The previous filter supposed to be 4 years old, looks older to me tbh. The heat shield is completely missing unfortunately...

I might see if they are refurbishable then. Reckon I need to step back what’s in there and either leave in a natural state or recolour.

I think the plastic ones suffer from the heat, loose plasticiser, and go brittle. This makes them fragile when refurbing. I removed the strips from the rubber, to do a proper job, but next time, I wouldn't. I've picked up a pair of alloy ones, from @Ami which I'll refurb, as despite a passable finish, there are signs of plastic cracking/crazing already.
