Brilliant. Are replacements still available from Audi, do you know?Very easy to remove. Cover a flat head screwdriver in a cloth and use it to prize the roof strip upwards from the back off the car. It will simply peel out.
I think the plastic ones suffer from the heat, loose plasticiser, and go brittle. This makes them fragile when refurbing. I removed the strips from the rubber, to do a proper job, but next time, I wouldn't. I've picked up a pair of alloy ones, from @Ami which I'll refurb, as despite a passable finish, there are signs of plastic cracking/crazing already.The plastic ones tend to fair worse paint wise than the metal.
