speedo just stop working

can any one help me, my speedo has just stoped working and the milometer
clock has stopped but the rev counter is still working if any can help me thanks a lot i have had the audi a2 tdi se for about 3 months and had a few little problems but still love the car

A diagnostic scan would be very helpful here, but in the absence of this, I'd suggest you start by checking the wiring and connectors.

The basic steps would be to start in the passenger footwell and chech all the connectors are secure and the wiring is in good condition. Then check the speed sender, which is at the back of and directly attached to the gearbox (basically, whip off the bonnet and check as per the passenger footwell wiring and connectors). Finally, check the connectors and wiring at the back of the instruments.

If these prove to be sound, then I'd suggest the speed sender has gone, but this should be checked prior to fitting a new one, as they're £45.

Funnily enough

mines has just done the same thing though the petrol gauge did fluctuate.

I did a scan through Vagcom but no faults came up.

As per before I'm afraid, although I'd suspect a faulty connector as you experienced fuel gauge probelms too.

Fuse Box!

Check the fuses - that fixed mine fuel guage fault and no trouble since (4 years ago?)
