What a fabulous show. Thank you to everyone who came along today. There seemed so much more to see and do this time and the weather was brilliant.
Gary and i had an impromtu convoy on the A14 with a lovely dark blue A2 on the way home.
Here are a few pics from the day

It's that red one again, Hovis, as Teresa informed me. The reason I bought my FSI, in 2019.
Although, at the time, Mike ( @a2sumo ) advised me to avoid the FSI. I'm glad I didn't take his advice.
Mac.

Just managed to upload my pics from Sunday to my PC. That was a very enjoyable day, great to see friends again (aluminium and human :)) and to meet new A2OC members @Pechorin and @Papa Fez. Quite a few people came up to our stand to talk about A2's, there seems to be quite a buzz about them now, at least in VAG circles. Here are a few automotive highlights from the day not already pictured (in other posts here, or that I haven't already taken photos of in previous years) ...

The lady that owns this 1976 Jurgens Autovilla camper, imported from South Africa, is actually living in it full-time with her other half, two years and counting! It's lovely inside, varnished wooden plank ceiling, tiny (expensive!) woodburner stove, and that roofrack is a work of art! She said they get even more attention in this than they did in a VW Type I Samba bus they previously had for the shows.

A few of us wandered down to the Split-screen section just before close of play, and saw this wonderful combo amidst all the very evocative noise and smell of flat-4 air-cooled engines starting up and running on the choke. The trailer is a fantastic job, the roof is a couple of Mini roofs welded together, with various panels from VW Type I/II in the body. It was originally built in white and blue to go with a V8 hotrod based on the original Ford Anglia, and resprayed when the camper came along.

Hello Ian,

Looks like we missed a cracking day out there, we all enjoyed it last year. Always another time though. Glad the weather held out.

I like the freshly painted JR door mirror covers on Jeremy’s BB A2.

Kind regards,

Tom

They're a very good match for the 'Legends' orange highlights on his steering wheel, certainly works well from inside 👍 The bonnet vent is next up for paint. Maybe planting the seed of an idea here, but I wonder if anyone does a leather paint in a similar shade, to get the red Sports seats and armrests to match too? That would look wicked against the black interior.

Haha,

It’s a great paint job, they were painted at the same time as mine and the front bumper. I should be helping out with the bonnet vent soon enough once work slows a little.

I agree that some of the leather parts could be refreshed in a Legends colour, would look outstanding indeed. I know Furniture clinic offer a colour match service.

Jez @sciroccorrado what do you think?

Kind regards,

Tom
