Use vcds measuring blocks in ABS controller:

Group 004, Steering Angle / Lateral Acceleration / Rotation Rate (Roll).
Block 01, Steering Angle,Sensor (G85),Specification: ± 4.5 °
Block 02, Lateral Acc.,Sensor (G200),Specification: ± 0.5 m/s²
Block 03, Rotation Rate,,Specification: ± 2.5 °/s
Block 04, Unused.

so what are the odds that both give me electric circuit failure intermittent and implausible signal intermittent . or could it be another issue causing this sensor to give faulty readings , seems to only happen at this point of the year , then goes away all summer until jan time the next year

The VCDS screen only shows G202 as faulty, the lateral is OK.
Early Later cars have both lat and long sensors in one housing, later early cars have separate lat and long sensors.
So, I think, unless I've misunderstood, only the lat/roll sensor is suspect?
Could be dodgy contact, so clean and reseat the connector/connectors, at the sensor/sensors end, and at the ABS Controller end.
If your car has the two sensors in one, then the MK1 TT sensor is a replacement, and easier to find, I believe.
You'll need to run Basic Setting on the sensor if it's changed. Nothing to loose by running that once you've cleaned the contacts.

cheers will check the abs end , ive got the separate ones and i own two , i did fond the tunel that goes through to the engine bay from the passenger side floor the rubber tube was full to the top with water so assumed it may be the water causing the issue , ? no
idea of how it got into the rubber tube as theres not much anywhere else down under the floor
