User locations - can they be displayed alongside posts?

As I've said in the title, I think it would be useful to have user locations as set in their profile displayed by their posts. Something like below perhaps:

It would only be a small quality of like improvement, but could save people jumping back and forth from profiles to look at the locations. Would be especially helpful in the Market, I think.

If you simply hover your mouse over any profile or mention of a profile, an information box comes up for that profile which includes any location information they have provided. I believe this also works for the corresponding finger action on touchscreen devices. Any location display relies on the information that has been provided to the forum though - sometimes people don't feel they want to be more specific than 'UK', which doesn't help much in that situation. Any IP location information available is often even more misleading!

I use my phone, almost exclusively, for viewing, and interacting with the Forum, (and all things Internet), and the hover feature you mention is not supported when using the Android version of Chrome browser. Edit: Yes, if I tap it comes up, but, it would be good for it to simply be there.
The country flag, when set, is very small on the phone screen.
Everything is much better on a PC, I agree, but, unless you're sat at a desk, a PC, even in laptop form, is not very convenient.
It might be interesting to do a straw poll of what devices are most used by our members.
Not a fan of Tapatalk.

Here's the screen I see, the country flag is tiny. If it was, (quite a bit), bigger, that would be a big help, imo.

Good Morning,

Another little point on location.

The location text in the pop up looks like simple text but is in fact a link. Touch/click the location and I end up in Google maps centred on the location, quite useful.

Is that Tapatalk, Mac? I think that converts or overlays whatever screen code the forum serves to the device, so all bets are off.

If not, that looks like just a header of a post. What happens if you hover or click on my avatar?

Oh, wow that is clever, good spot Andy 👍. It even works for mine, which names two places 20 miles apart.

Not Tapatalk, Chrome on Android 14.
Hover doesn't work on my Android phone, (only on PC I think), tap on the avatar does open it, but both, (hover or tap), need you to want to know the location, imo, the User's location is part of the User's ID, and should be of a similar size.
The iimage is a simple screenshot of what I see. I'd think most phone browsers would be very similar.
Below is what I see on another forum, using the same XenForo package.

The header dissappears as you scroll down, so not a problem.
