Interesting that they refer to the A6 as a bread and butter model!
Still if they do a Corrado on us the values will rocket just look at the cost of a second user Corrado 16v or VR6. Cracking car by the way![8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D]

As a follow up, just read this as part of "www.audiworld.com" coverage of the paris motor show.

"In honor of two important new Audis Inglostadt brought out the big guns for the Paris Motor Show. Most members of the Audi main board turned up, including the very useful Dr. Werner Mischke. This straight talking guy is Audi's Technical Development chief, and he can speak his mind without interruption from pesky, over cautious-press officers. And that's what he did.

Mischke explains that Audi is reorienting itself as an even more seriously sporting brand. And even though there was an A2 on the Audi stand there just ain't room for a car like that in the new plan, so it will die a natural death in 2005. "To replace that vehicle directly is not the right thing for the future," said Mischke. "

We'll just have to live in hope that Mischke will get the boot before the A2.

Rich.

Expecting Silver A2 1.6FSI sport, end October.
Black interior, front fogs, REW, ECC, winter pack, mats & iPod.

On this subject, Skoda issued a statement the other day saying that the Superb will run it's natural life and will not be scrapped sooner.

But then is the A2 just running it's natural life (in the big Audi scheme of things)?.

Steve - 2003 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior

Hope before they phase it out they do a run-out limited edition - a fully loaded A2 for £10K on the road [:p]. Here's hoping. Why not start a thread to ask people what they would like to see in the final edition of the A2 (2004/2005 model year) and maybe Audi will take note?
