A few years ago someone ran an online competition to find the funniest joke in the world.
The one that won it was definitely funny, but not the funniest in the world!!!
Apologies to those that have heard the joke but it is worth repeating it for those who have not (but don't expect much!)
Here we go.
Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson were laying on their back in field at night.
Holmes says
"Watson, look up and tell me what you deduce"
Watson says "Ok Holmes, I see stars meaning that the weather is fine and there will be a frost in the morning, I can also deduce from the number of stars I can see that surely some of them will have planets that could, and probably do, support life in various formats"
Holmes says
" No you stupid man, it means the tent has been stolen!!!!"
As I say, not worthy of the title, but not bad.
