View Full Version : The Next Event

Once again, another successful event yesterday and I'd like thank everyone again for coming, and apologise if I didn't have a chance to chat to everyone or say goodbye properly.
Our events can only get bigger and better from here and before we know it, we'll have more cars on our stand than Club Audi! As I found with the last one, the best thing to do now is to get on with planning the next one...
I do not envisage another event in 2003 - it will be too chaotic to organise one at Christmas and I think we've done well to have had two events so far this year.
So, the next members only event will be a big one - a weekend trip to Germany for a factory visit (beer run optional!). This will obviously take some organising and is only worth doing if there are a significant amount of people wanting to go. I'm aiming that this will take place before the peak summer period - maybe sometime during May 2004.
If you feel it's worth having another UK social before that or at the end of 2004, then please let me know.
I'll put all updated on this event in the socials section of the forum.

I so enjoyed the convoy part that a "trip" will be very nice IMHO... a trip to Germany sounds briliant... and we should get someone to order a new A2 and ask for it to be picked up at the factory... then they can go with us there and drive back in their new car! (I would love to do that!)

The wife is up for a trip to Germany also (so she can speak it again) and I'll see if the gramps will have the kids for the weekend. Re buying an A2, do we know when they will stop production?

Hi Dennis, and all the rest of you too!
the A2club here in Germany is having a meet up on the 12th of July....you would be more than welcome to come and join us.
We can organise a place to sleep for you, no problem....althoughh depending where you are from in Holland it may not be that far... we are meeting near Dortmund. I tried to put some dutch words together here in the forum about the meet....perhaps you were able to read it. It is not that we want to take you away from this club or anything... am also still a proud member of this club but it would be good to have a more international feel to all our meets...even those organised by this club. Plus we don't want to ba the only "foreigners" at the german meet...us and all those germans...help!!
Also in the future for the meet up in Ingolstadt the german A2club might even be able to help with some of the organisation ( route plan; hotels; ferries... one of the guys in the german club can get discounts for the ferries , he works for the german ADAC :AA in the uK; where to buy the best Wurst etc!!) or even to organise a big meet up. Wouldn't it be cool to get 40 or so A2s together... that would be a pricture..and just think of the reaction from Audi,,,surely they'd be speechless.
Have a nice weekend and Good Driving
