Have any of you seen the bmw movies at www.bmwfilm.com?

If you haven't, however like car chases then I recommend you either order the dvd, or if you have broadband (and patience) download them.

There are eight different films all advertising bmw cars (inc new Z4), written and directed by famous directors (John Woo, Guy Ritchie, + more) and staring loads of famous people (Madonna, James Brown, +more)

The best one (in my opinion) is 'Star' (by Guy Ritchie, staring Madonna and a BMW M5)

The film quality is superb (for everyone). A friend of mine bought the DVD, and I watched them last Sat - superb!!

Take a look and enjoy

I have the DVD, too... really great. I donīt see what BMW gets out of it (after all, you can only see the films on the internet, and the films were really expensive, by the looks of it), but thatīs not our problem..:-) "Star" is my favourite, too...

You are not allowed to shwow speed, car chases or anything "dangerous" like that in normal advertising... so these films are made to show BMWs in their best light doing exactly that! 40 million hits since the website started can't be wrong... brilliant idea IMHO.

Personally I wouldn't buy a BMW, however these types of films really make you think twice. After watching Star, I was on the net searching for the cheapest M5 used example I could find. I came to my senses quickly however once I saw that they actually loose about 2p/year. I think it is a great, but expensive marketing campaign.
