lame taillights

i love everything about the A2 except the tail lights...

they are so nerdy...

i would love to have something a little cooler...

the tail lights look like they are taken from a passat estate or something like that...

anybody know of any cool options?

Nah - I have been looking and not found any i like yet - mattig do the covers, but nothing cooler.

I'm looking at two DIY options to change how the rear lamps look.

1. replace the amber indicator bulb with a (£18 per pair) orsam product - white but flashes amber via Demon Tweeks, or

2. using 1-2 coats of either red and grey tint spray over the clear sections in the unit to tone it down a touch.

What would the A2 designer make of us lot, I wonder!

Anyone know how to retract the front lens from the cover - I'd like to have a look at tinting the indicator cover in the main cluster - either that or back to Demon Tweeks!

well hella actually make a cluster for the Lupo / arosa that you can paint body colour - now I would love this, but cant find anything 'good' for teh A2.

yeah, i think the rear lights could use some kind of body colour thing because the shape / outline of the lights is lame and then the 2 grey bars in the red just look boring too... it has no flair at all...

i do like the round lights inside the front lights cluster....

its a shame that they didn't continue this concept on the rear lights....

Looks like a Photoshop utilising Porsche Boxster rear - 2.7 rather than a 'S' version.

i just mentioned passat tail light cause that was the only car i could think of at the time...

you can replace passat with more suitable boring estate design....
