View Full Version : Changed your head unit?

Anyone changed the stereo head unit in their A2? Got your old one sitting in the cupboard doing nothing?

I have the chourus head unit and it doesn't control a CD changer (at least as far as I can tell).

So am looking for an Audi stereo that does.

Heres hoping........

Have you checked out e-bay. I haven't personally but you should find a few Audi units on there.

Alternatively, there was a thread a while back giving a link to Audi headunits. Can't remember it tho'. Can anybody else?[?]

Just read the manual (sad I know) for my Chorus and there is a button on the bottom left of the unit called CD/CC which is the selector for Cassette or CD Changer (boot mounted) and the manual is full of info about it controlling "the Audi CD changer".

The channel selection buttons control play etc just like they do with cassette's, all you have to do is fit the changer on the end of the cable (where is the cable I hear you ask...no idea is the reply :))

From what i can make out there are 2 versions of the chorus head unit, mine is the earlier one without CD controls :-(

Thinking of a becker mexico now, they seem to look very audi
