I have had my FSi a couple of months now and it came with Audi interior mats as part of the SE pack. When i took these out the drivers heel area is already very indented as they are so thin. I am an ex BMW 325 person and their mats where twice as thick and only started to show this amount of wear after about a year. Do Audi do two versions or can anyone recomend others that use the Audi mat locators?

They do do that. Mine are two years old and are still the same - My BMW 328 mats were not. They were thick but actually wore through these get 'instant' dents and seem to stay like it - so far.

I buy thick mats from Costco, but Halfords sell them at 3 times the price. They have grippers on the back and don't move much, it cuts down some noise as well. My Audi mats with the SE are pale grey, not practical when you are dog walking in muddy woods, hence dark grey on top of them.

I agree-the Audi sets are very flimsy. Can't beat a set of Cannon any day!

I noticed when I was in Halfords today that they do a tailored made set specifically for the A2, there the carpet type and look to be quite thick mats. Might be worth a look[8D]
