In the A2 tips document (Downloads>Things you may not know…)
For the Symphony head unit settings… Does this only apply to the Symphony head unit alone? I have the Bose system installed and only get ‘Bose’ display not a series of numbers to change settings.

I hold the ‘5’ button (the one that would select FM station 5) and turn the unit on… I have noticed that other display come up if you hold buttons 1,2,3 but not for 5 (1 is interesting – seems like a rolling display like a scanner for the RDS functions on the radio)

The Bose sub is great… when your not moving, but the frequencies get lost in the road noise at speed. I would like to increase the midrange bass at low volume (kinda like the ‘loud’ function you get on some car stereos) The pioneer system (Nothing special 2x40w) in my Volvo has it and works nice when you just want to have conversational level music on.

Anyone know what I doing wrong? (Or if the Bose system is preset ‘For perfect sound clarity’)

Cheers

Hi Johann

Dont get me wrong the Bose system is nice (I have had a bose system at home for 10 years)... but nothing is fine as it is. (Ask EF_MAX)

After all... why would all the TDI owners be looking to chip their motors. [14](Something I think is brilliant by the way. I drove both the 1.4tdi and the 1.6fsi - loved the bottom end of the tdi but thought... hmmm needs more power, hence I have the fsi - that and the car is leased so I cant really mess around with it too much.)

I do like the fact that a lot of the systems in the car can be reprogrammed.

hehehe True! I know! But still we don't know the answer as to why the Symphony can't do it!

Found out the Symphony 2 (Which I have) doesn't support the hidden equaliser. [29] DOH! (or hasnt been found yet)

Found links at:

But for those with the older Symphony unit check out...
