What's made of what?

Does anyone know just which panels are made from aluminium and which are plastic?

My current courtesy A2, a 1.4 petrol Sport, has just come from the bodyshop, where the repairs cost just under £7000 according to my dealer. Talk about filling you with confidence!

PS The cause of the repairs was apparently only a minor rear end shunt - gulp!

From my own (and other forum members) experience I know that bdaywork on an A2 ist always expensive.... I just can´t figure out why.

The front wings are definetly made of plastic, not only on the 1.2TDI, as I thought....

I know, not much info, but I hope it helps anyway...:-)

Skipton i thought the doors are from plastic but they are from aluminium but ask Stuart D he should know all about the car. ;)

Ps- If you touch your car with your hand you can hear which parts are from plastic and from alu.

tcasaca is right-touch the panel and if you get a static electric shock, that'll be the alu panel!!!!
