Hi folks,

I've posted a couple of times many months ago regarding floppy wipers, I think. Result: I now have floppy wiper on my 2001 SE 1.4. [8D]
So thanks for the shared knowledge on that.
Next, I finally did the decent thing and joined the club. Cool. The sticker is already in pride of place (strangely in the same location as Stuart's picture - are we both safety conscious or sensible?).
Now, the question is....the sticker appears to be in three pieces - a white obviously removable backing, a transparent piece of the sticker with the print on it and a final backing piece of white plastic. So should the white backing be removed in any circumstances? I guessed before I saw the picture in the above thread that it might be designed to be transparent apart from the design itself, but as I tried to peel it away, it didn't feel quite right.

So, Stu or someone else, put me out of my misery - are you meant to do this under any circumstances, or not?

Thanks for any responses.

James

The purpose of the white backing is so others can read the sticker we have looked at transparent one and the information gets lost, the only bit that should be removed is as you say the obvious bit.

Hi Jaffa - Just to confirm what Lee has said...only the paper white backing should be removed.

On the subject of stickers - the three layers should not be as obvious as they are, unfortunately the sticker quality is not great and I will not be ordering again from the company I used. But they were good value for a large quantity and I think are sufficient for the time being.

If anyone has a sticker that has started to disintegrate or is very poor quality, then let me know and I'll send you a replacement.

At the moment the new stickers you sent me (white ones) seem to be good at the moment.

Cheers

I prefered the old black stuck-outside sticker!!! (And yes I was the first to ask for an internal sticker so it does not get butchered in the weather/wash)...

The black design was just sooo classy... it was nearly invisible on the tinted glass, and only when you looked close-up you saw the white letters and the red detail... the white one... hmmm... Sorry, but I won't put that on my car! (Sorry Stu...) So please, when these run out, do internal black ones again...

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. Now I know. :)

Johann, why not get some made up? While you're at it, I'd also like a 'Mission Aborted' sticker, too.

;)
