I got my new 4 jet washer jets from Martyn last week! Not had time to install them, but just from looking at them you can see they will spray better! Can't wait to get time to install them!

Are these jets like most cars have or are they 4 spray jets like the ones currently fitted but just more of them????

Johann - please can you send me some pics/guide when you get a chance - or is this the same as Peter Toon's Washer Jet Fitting Guide?

I have not seen his guide... will have a look.

To the first question: no they are completely different and you also need to replace the black plastic bit just below the windscreen as this has different fixings for the jets...

[21][21][21]Still confused....
Are they the fan spray as currently fitted but with 4 heads (2 per side) or are they the stream type (single jet as per the Fords)obviously 4 in total (2 per side)

2 per side, 4 total and not sure if it is fan or stream as I have not fitted them yet! Peter Toon? What are they?

Did you go for the heated washer jets ?
I fitted the new kit a few weeks ago. The plan was to convert to the heated jets but could not find any obvious cable connection in the engine bay so played safe (and cheap) and just bought the unheated version. For info, the jets provide a stream of fluid and not the almost useless mist spray of the originals. They are a bit fiddly to adjust but the result is a vast improvement.
If there is anyone out there who already has the winter pack with heated jets and plans to change to the new 4 jet system, a description or pictures of the wiring would be appreciated. Assuming the wiring harness is the same on all cars regardless of the options fitted, this would solve the mystery of the missing plug-in connector for the jet heaters.

Spike I did the same: I would have loved the heated ones, but they were £41 all in and I'm no electrician to find a place to wire them in... so I just got the normal ones as £41 is a bit rich if you're not going to use them proper. Have still not had time to install them though!!! grrr...

How much do the ordinary uprated ones cost?

Johann

It was £22 or so... the jets themselves are very cheap, £2 or so each, it is the complete black plastic bit you have to fit below the windscreen, that is about £17 that makes up the price. The new jets have to clip into this and you can't use the old one...
