Hi!
The new A2 photos are now available
What do you think of it?
Besides the new 1.4 TDI 90hp the only thing different is the front grid... [21] I had an hope that Audi would change the lower grid too.. next time perhaps. Or this could prove that A2 is on its ending days... :(
(And now disk brakes on the rear also... nice!)

Nice colour!!
The only other difference I can see is a new aerial on the roof - possibly for improved AM reception.
Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.

New A2 on order - Ebony Black, Red Leather + many other options.

As i said before, i like those wheels. Maybe on my next A2. The aerial is not for AM reception, you will get it when you order a mobile preparation from factory. ;)

Rob,
If you magnify the front grid you will see the difference.
Is the antena for GSM or for GPS??
Cheers,

Sorry, meant to say APART from the front grill, the only difference is.... Why Audi didn't take this opportunity to bring the A2 into the company mold with the lower chrome grill surround baffles me.

For me the fact that the lower grid remains untouchable is the death certificate for the A2. :(
They did make any effort to glue A2 style to the remaining models.
(well, apart from the alloy wheels that came from the A4.. to enought dough)
Long live the A2... at least in our hearts! [25]

I just LOVE those wheels!!! Very nice and far better at avoiding kerbs than the current nonsense Sport wheels (that look good, but love kerbs too much!)
(And the reason for the rear disk brakes is the extra power. If you chip your car you should upgrade the brakes as well really... but few people do.)

Is the service thingy behind the new grill now or is it a normal hood now like on other cars?

New grill/sevice flap looks good but i prefer the smooth shiny sevice flap since i have stuck an s2 badge on the front how would you do it with the new service flap.
cheers

I'm with you on this one Andrew, I prefer the smooth, shiny one and your idea of the stick on S2 badge is one I have toyyed with.
I'm pretty sure you can get an S2 badge which is for the S2 as a grille badge so this probably clicks/snaps into the slats as opposed to stick on. I think the stick on is originally for the rear.
I was looking at a colour concept in the local Audi showroom at the weekend and that's got a matt finish to the sevice flap. Not too sure about that.

I think I prefer the current smooth one too... this one is lying about its job... it is not a grille, it does not need air to pass through it, so why pretend to be a grille when you're actually a flap? Nope things should look like what they are...

The colour storm matt finish service flap looks really quite cheap in my opinion, not a patch on the original. I do however understand them styling it like a grill though, as it matches the rest of the Audi range then, and makes it look like a normal road car. I still prefer mine though!!
Just to confirm something... S2 is nothing at all to do with the A2 is it, it was an older Audi tuned by Porsche?! Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You're quite right, S2 was a coupe. I think it replaced the Ur quattro in the early 90's. I don't know if it was tuned by Porsche though.

The original RS4 Avant had Porsche tuning and even Porsche mirrors, wheels and brake callipers. The S2 was just a fast Audi 90 Coupe - the same car the last ever selling cabrio was based on... so had nothing Porsche about it AFAIK.

Hasn't Martyn from VAGparts got an S2 Avant? His engine is the 2.? 5 cylinder turbo.
Was this car not the original in the S line of cars?
