Despite the announcement that the A2OC is likely to disappear in September 2004, would anyone be interested in having one final UK A2OC get together sometime early next year?
I am still determined to get 30 A2s in one place!
If think this is a good idea, what area would be most suitable for the most amount of people to be able to come - Midlands/The South etc?

yes i think it is a good idea.
what about the lake district beautiful scenery great places to stop take photos and good pubs with good food since.
i had relatives who lived up in Windermere so know the area.
Not forgetting good country roads not bumpy ideal for convoy drives.
plus not many a2's up there.
what do you think.!!

I like the sound of the Lakes. We'd probably have to make a weekend of it tho' due to the distances involved.
If the end of the A2OC is nigh, we need to go out on a high note, and as Stuart said, get a huge gathering of us.
Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a 1.4SE petrol. http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/uk14.htm http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/safety.htm
New A2 on order. Only a month to go now - Ebony Black, Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.
Good idea, we would definitely come.

The lakes is one area I might get the wife to come to, having been there in August for a week am not so sure about the roads though. How about Ambleside.

Lake district is an axcellent choice. I'll definitely come. My brother's in-laws live in Kendal so I could get some ideas as to accomodation/venues/beauty spots etc.

Stuart
Good idea, just the timing will be difficult...
Will you put all the forum and the archives on CD? Will we be able to read them without the forum software? I'd hate to loose all that knowledge... can you do a CD please?

o.k. stuart
what needs to be done to sort out a trip
let me know if i can do anything to help.
Sounds like the lakes could be a good venue for the last trip.looks like a few of the guys are interested in that area.
But if anyone has any other venues that would be good, if they can put them forward then we could take a vote on who would come and who would'nt come depending on the venue location.
so as we can get the optimum ammount of a2's on the final trip!![24][33]:)
cheers

Kendal's a really nice place, depending on what time of year I wouldn't reccommend Windemere as its always packed, never anywhere to park

What would be the plan of action for the day? Lakes are not far for me to go (1 hour drive), so I'm interested.

Not sure at the moment, it early days.
Do we have any volunteer to organise this?
It's a hell of a trek for me, so it may be that I'll have to miss this one.

Can't do that Stuart go on a meeting and not have the boss present have to have a re-think.
