New Toyota Prius

Is it any good. The old was was a bit crap but certainly interesting and a nice size.

Mpg is not to be sniffed at. Are the honda hybrids better than the Toyota's?

Last one wasn't even galvenised though - so they won't last v long. Hope thy have fixed this

I was reading about this yesterday. MPG good, proably similar to the A2 but a bigger car.
Looks like Toyota have tried to make it more of a 'normal' car with creature comforts and safety.
Pricey for the individual, so probably bought by companies wanting to show their green side (Norwich Union run them on their fleet of pool cars in York).

100mpg on the Japanese 10-15 test cycle may be a little better than even the 1.2TDI A2.

This 2nd generation Prius has bigger 195/55R16 tyres. The old one had 165/65R14.

I think it's quite a good looking car. It's a shame that it's not a bit quicker though.
I'd be intrigued to read some road tests on it when it becomes available.

A2 and Lupo 1.2 TDIs both got a mention as alternatives in the review of the Prius in Saturday's Daily Telegraph! Even though both are only available LHD.
