Can the bose upgrade be retro fitted by the dealer (what's involved) or is it a hifi shop job ?

As far as I know, it costs 2000 for the parts alone, and is quite a lot of work. One of the german forumīs members did it, but he got the parts used on ebay (and put about 20 hours of work in it)
I think you are better off spending the money in the hifi shop on another system.
