Hello!!

Does anyone know if the size (whith) of the wheels on Audi A2 differs from which engine thats in it? (3L)
We have a 3L TDi, but when we got alu-wheels on it, the tyres hit the side of the car.
And i think that the standard wheels are way to "slim"

Sorry my language, im from Denmark

Hello Anders!

The 3L TDI has totally different wheels than all the other models (normally 145/80R14 on a special kind of aluminum rims which are very expensive and look like steel rims....:-() and you are not allowed to put other wheels on it, at least here in Germany (otherwise you would lose the tax savings you get with a 3L car). On the other A2 models you can get 15-17 inch wheels....

I suspect that the 3L wheel housings are changed a bit to be more streamlined, and thatīs the cause why you have problems with your alu-wheels......

Bye, Frido.

Hi Anders,
the 1.2TDI has narower wheel housings to optimize aerodynamics. Stay with the original size wheels and enjoy at least 1ltr/100km fuel saving.

anybody know of some websites that do alloys for the A2, was thinking of getting some split rim alloys, seen them on a TT and they looked wicked.

Malcolm - I only know of one. This company definitely does wheels specifically for the A2. Look at the model the call 'A2-133' - it's actually a complete replica of the standard A2 16" alloy! If you mention the A2 Owners Club, they should give you 5% off all your purchases: http://www.performancealloys.com
