Which chip to buy?

Which chips have you guys got in your TDis? Which ones are good and which ones should be avoided and price? I'm seriously thinking of finally doing it now that the car is out of warranty... any ideas please?

I have had no real problems with the upsolute chip in mine and for the pennies you can`t really go wrong.

Johann - glad you started this thread as I am still contemplating getting mine chipped as the warranty runs out at the end of June. It may also encourage me to keep my A2 for another few years which also means that the club won't be up for sale!!

Just a reminder and of course you are in no way under obligation, but if there are enough of us interested, I can probably still get a group discount from AmD for chipping and/or the Milltek exhaust.

I have a chip you can just have as i will be removing it before i chop the car in don`t know how simple it is to put in the car but if any of you want it you are more than welcome. Could even get together at some point in the next two weeks to do a comparsion of the difference i.e Chipped vs Not chipped!

Be careful - just because the chip is presumably for the same engine - it may not work due to differences in the ECU. When I sold my A4 - someone bought the remap chip for his identical A4 (year, engine, transmission etc - and it didnt work!)
