Pleasantly Surprised

Having had my wife's Toyota Corolla serviced earlier this week I had become accustomed to exceptional service and good communication and so with my forthcoming visit to Audi today I had been preparing myself for frustration and anger as usually experienced when having anything to do with an Audi dealer (from past experience!).

I dropped my A2 off at the dealer at 8:30am this morning for its first MOT, and it was ready for collection at 12:30pm - they even phoned me without me having to chase them. It's had the most thorough valet inside and out that I've ever seen and they even left a full little tin of Audi mints on the dashboard for me! - I'm assuming they are for me unless one of the technicians left them there by mistake!

So there you go, this proves you actually have a satisfying experience with an Audi dealer!
This was with Aston Green Audi in Slough.
By the way, it passed the MOT with no problems - as do apparently 93% of A2s on their first MOTs (as told by the service bloke).

Had mine into Oxford Audi a week ago.
They didnt pick it up the right time, called me to call them back and then played telephone tennis all afternoon. Got the car back with the "We've cleaned for you" sign up in it - they had done nothing other than wet it (not WASH it just WET it) and left the oxford hard water to dry on it.

And then to top it off called me 5 days later to tell me that I had a slow leak in one of the front tyres!!! (Which on the day they called became a big leak because I hit something that had fallen off a lorry)


Mints! - Thats the kinda service I would expect from a 'premium' dealer.

Oxford Audi - doesn't surprise me in the slightest, I've posted on here before about them...

Perhaps we should start a dealer league table, and then pass it around to the dealers concerned (kind of name and shame)...plus forum members could then shy away from dealers who have been less than satisfactory in the past.

Rod, I don't know which side of Oxford you are, but you could try Northfield Audi in Tetbury next time. I was very happy with their attitude and approach - used them for my 1st service.

See my note on Andy Simmonds Topic 'A2 going and finished with', as my experience of Listers Audi in Stratford-on-Avon seems to be quite contrary to every other dealer story I have heard. Listers are excellent and treat you as the customer who keeps them in business (and I believe they won a 'Good Service' award from Audi last year and all got taken out for the day"; they earned it) And Stratford is only 47 miles from Oxford... If you're starting an 'Audi Dealers' league I put Listers Stratford up with 9/10 at least (the free coffee machine has lost the 'hot chocolate' since they moved into the shiny new premises; Poor show!!)
