Need some oil and want a recommendation?

Post your questions here and I'll get back to you with some options and prices including vat and UK carriage.

Please provide as much information as possible from the handbook including the VW recommended spec i.e. 505.00, 500.00, 506.01 etc.

Failing that, please provide the Model, Year, Engine size and type.

Over a period of time we should be able to build a thread with recommended oils and prices for all models.

Thanks All.

Regards
Simon

Forget the fancy Audi/VW oil for your A2 Tdi and use Millers XFE-PD 5W/40 this is an excellent product approved by Audi/VW for for their PD Tdi engines and costs £22 per 5 litres. Available nationwide or call Millers In Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
If using this product you will need to have the dealer re-set the cars computer to fixed10,000 mile service intervals. I also have an intermediate oil & filter change at 5000 miles.Oil is much cheaper than engines and leaving oil unchanged for season after season can only result in shortened engine life which doesn't bother Audi in the slightest as your car will be out of warranty by then.
I have no connection with Millers but have used their products exclusively for the past 15 years. in Mercedes diesels. current one having covered over 220,000 miles.
if you insist on sticking with the variable service intervals Millers have developed an approved version of the Audi/VW oil at a more reasonable price.

That's what's called a marketplace. You pay your money and take your choice at the end of the day!

Will see if I can find some data on this oil.

Cheers
Simon
